Vikrant Rajawat believes emotions are distractions. As the newly appointed CEO of one of Gurgaon’s fastest-growing tech companies, control is the one rule he never breaks. Calm, disciplined, and impossible to read, Vikrant has no patience for chaos. Unfortunately for him, Siya is chaos. Bright, emotional, impulsive, and completely unpredictable, she turns his carefully organized world upside down without even trying. Their marriage was never supposed to mean anything. It was simply an arrangement. A promise made after tragedy. A way to give two grieving children the family they deserve. The rules should have been easy: Raise the children. Maintain boundaries. Do not get emotionally involved. But living under the same roof makes ignoring each other impossible. Because stolen glances start lasting too long. Arguments begin feeling strangely comforting. And the twins already look at them like they belong together. Now the line between responsibility and something far more dangerous is starting to blur. Because it was never supposed to be love. It was only supposed to be family. And somehow... it became accidentally ours.

**Edited version** She could hear his footsteps approaching now. Slow. Unhurried. Dangerous. “Do you really think you can hide from me, jaan?” he murmured softly. The low warmth in his voice made her stomach flip. She stayed frozen beside the curtains while his footsteps came closer and closer. Then suddenly he was right behind her. Close enough for her to feel his warmth despite the cold weather. “Jaan...” he whispered near her ear. A shiver ran through her instantly. “Adi...” she breathed softly before finally turning toward him. And there he was. Her husband. The man she loved endlessly. For a second neither of them spoke. They simply looked at each other. Then Adi smiled softly and pulled her into his arms. Anu melted against him immediately. Safe. Warm. Home. His lips brushed gently against the tattoo on her neck, pressing slow lingering kisses there that made her knees weaken embarrassingly fast. The sensation sent warmth spreading through her entire body. “Adi...” she whispered softly, gripping his shirt tighter. And then he....

HIM People call me heartless. Maybe they were right. I never cared enough to prove them wrong anyway. Feelings were always meaningless to me. Temporary. Weak. Replaceable. Until her. The moment I saw her for the first time, something inside me shifted. For the first time in years, my heart actually reacted to someone. One look at her… And it skipped a beat. Her innocence draws me in like a dangerous addiction. The softness in her eyes, the purity in her smile, the way she unknowingly destroys my self control every single time she’s near me… I’ve been with countless women before. Models. Socialites. Beautiful faces with empty connections. But she is different. Dangerously different. She is my best friend’s little sister. The one woman I should stay away from. But the more I try, the deeper I fall. Because one thing is becoming terrifyingly clear now… She is mine. Only mine. HER I’ve never seen a man more attractive than him. Everything about him feels dangerous. His hazel eyes are intense enough to make my heart race and my knees weak at the same time. He barely smiles, barely talks, and yet somehow his presence alone affects me more than anyone ever has. After my brother, he’s the first man I’ve ever felt this comfortable around. Everyone says he’s cold. Heartless. Untouchable. But I don’t believe that. Because behind his guarded eyes and emotionless expressions, I’ve seen glimpses of someone softer. Someone protective. Someone capable of loving deeply. And every passing day… I feel myself falling harder for him. Even when I know I probably shouldn’t. Read the full prologue inside… ✨
