Edited version She could hear his footsteps approaching now. Slow. Unhurried. Dangerous. βDo you really think you can hide from me, jaan?β he murmured softly. The low warmth in his voice made her stomach flip. She stayed frozen beside the curtains while his footsteps came closer and closer. Then suddenly he was right behind her. Close enough for her to feel his warmth despite the cold weather. βJaan...β he whispered near her ear. A shiver ran through her instantly. βAdi...β she breathed softly before finally turning toward him. And there he was. Her husband. The man she loved endlessly. For a second neither of them spoke. They simply looked at each other. Then Adi smiled softly and pulled her into his arms. Anu melted against him immediately. Safe. Warm. Home. His lips brushed gently against the tattoo on her neck, pressing slow lingering kisses there that made her knees weaken embarrassingly fast.
